"I'm ready now. I'll be an angel..."

  • Jan. 18th, 2009 at 6:14 PM
FIERCE REPRISE!!
Spring Awakening:
12.10.06 - 01.18.09

"The time soon comes for parting,
And our time is at an end,
The rest of your life is completing,
And we have no time at all to spend.

You knew one day you'd have to go,
But thought you'd have more time.
We can't reverse time's one-way flow,
But at least you'll have this rhyme.

You had your shining moments,
Upon life's darkened stage,
And in my book of wonderments,
You're more than just a page.

Like the exploding of a star,
You've changed me in and out,
Your light will travel with me far,
Past when all other lights go out."

- Megan R. Bokowski

"Farewell dark skies
Farewell unbroken silence
Farewell summer
Farewell Autumn leaves that drift by my window
Farewell sunshine
Farewell today
Farewell to the songs singing inside my heart..."

- Aldo Kraas

Goodbye, SA. No amount of words can even dare to express my love and passion for such an electrically beautiful production, as well as those fans just as infinitely the same. You have (for the past 2 years) served as the epitome of my love of the stage and it's majesty, and I have absolutely no idea where I would be without the discovery of your thundering bass and poetic verse. God bless each and every cast member, their families; your talent and your charity were never taken unappreciated. You changed and defined so very much of who I am, and for that, I give eternal thanks. Each and every word of which you spoke and enlightened upon is treasured, and each tear I weep is pure, unadulterated remorse. A piece of my heart shall always belong to the glory of the spring and the song of purple summer. I believe in hope. I believe in love. I believe in loss.

I believe in Spring Awakening.
Farewell... and endless congratulations on your previous success.

I'M BAAAA-AAAAACK!!

BITCH.

And I.
Feel.
AWFUL.

It's been aboot-- what... who knows how long since I've last updated!! My life has been just about the equivelant and epitome of all things crazy-mad, but, rest assured:

I'M ALIVE, BITCHES. And Microsoft Word Processor to your Motherboards homeskillets, I have returned with a vengence. From here on out, I vow no more forgetting to update, as how can one really turn to follow my pursuit of the Great White Way without consistent journal entries? (lulz); no more not... getting r-replies to comments and... and messages!! No more... no more douchebaggery! Lol...

Really folks: I am sorry. I don't know how I let such an-- I don't wanna' sound like I have no life and say "important", haha, but... a significant part of my interwebz and everyday life, as well as the friends I've made here to slip through my fingers. I only hope that it isn't too late for me to jump back on the wagon!! And so, in order to make up for such a major loss of time, I present to you: A short listing of the events in my life-- before my online death! Lol :D

I Saw the Cover and I Judged the Book: )

And if I can even manage to think of any more, I'll be sure to add them as a random daily train of thought, hahaha! Oh God, eternal thanks everyone whose managed to put up with me thus far and to ANYONE who managed to make it through reading this post ALIVE, lolol. All of my love!! HAPPY LATE HOLIDAYS!

Weekend Review

STACHE
THANK YOU ALL SO INCREDIBLY MUCH FOR THE WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY WISHES!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL IMMENSELY, AND AM HIGHLY ANTICIPATING WHAT THIS YEAR WILL BRING! :D

***

Reasons Why My Birthday ROCKED: * Getting both a card and $50 in the mail from my grandpa up in Chicago, then turning round to spend said mula on a new navy dress and 3 blouses :) * Dinner at Bubba Gump's. * Having the staff at Bubba Gump's sing to me. And feed me a sundae. And THEN proceeding to have me, and I quote: "shake mah' rump", haha! * Eating some of the most GLORIOUS triple-fudge-fantasy birthday cake-- and from Costco, no doubt! * Seuss tech rehearsal, first inside the theater (haha, I know - sad, right? ;P) * Buying an amazazing $2 headband (on saaaaale) from Target :) * Getting yet ANOTHER birthday cake, special ordered, from both my padre and his girlie! * Mama buying me Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. BEST DS GAME EVER, OK? Lololol :D * My mom also ordering me my SD SA tickets-- opening night, baby! Hliughyizfgvyfgv!!

However...

Reasons Why My Birthday SUCKED: * Constant arguments; more frequent than usual, unfortunately. * Spending most of my actual birthday waiting inside a doctor's office, for my mom's FRIEND, no joke, and watching - in confusion, I might add - D*sney-esque Spanish soap operas. And at Linens and Things. FOR MY MOM. * The rest of the SA OBC leaving the following day :[[[[[[[[[[[[ * Still on the dot :( * My "special birthday lunch" was spent at the Subway across the street. FTW! * My cake being bought in majority to my mom's wants, and only considered "half" of my birthday cake-- when asked. * My mother also being so ghetto to the point where she not only did NOT put candles in the cake, but grabbed what looked to be like an incense stick (it wasn't), lit it on fire using the stove burners, sticking it within my chunk of cake, and proceeding to have me blow it out. * Again-- arguing. Need I explain more...? * Not seeing Mama Mia! Nor The Dark Night. :(((

Still-- in essence, I'm virtually a (truly) blessed girl. Ha; after all, they've pretty much balanced one another ;P <3
First *official* Seussian dress rehearsal tomorrow night-- will be sure to photograph!!!! :D
STACHE
It's 4:21 in the morning and, have I - Misses Angela Griswold - had even but a wink of sleep? NO'M. This, my friends, is the reason in which why I curse my family's night owlage-- I mean, I have rehearsal tomorrow (our first week within the actual theatre)!! UGH. Speaking of rehearsal, our costume fitting was GLORIOUS on Saturday, even though the yellow of both my feathers and leotard cause me to gain a pretty close resemblance to that of Tweety Bird, lol. (Unfortunately, I couldn't manage any pictures; will show up shortly!)

Although, I strangely adore it; honestly, it's gonna' be quite fantastic-- the costume itself consists of (as stated aboooove) a leotard, with two layered feather boas of the same color across the bottom front. The boas then drape off the side of the outer thigh and gather again to layer/hang in threes upon the TUSH. Plus, we all got to choose differing trims (mine's all sequiny and gold-like, lol) and decide how we wanted them to be layered across our dresses-- the only downside?

My costume was (at first) missing it's frontal layers and, therefore, I had to pin the side feathers across my crotch... Yep.

Lololol, but they soon fixed that, and we now all look extremely FIERCE, if I do say so myself-- I'm incredibly excited for this production, and - in fact, if anyone happens to be in da' neighborhood from around July 24th-27th (which isn't the majority of ANY of you, but--! Lol) and wanting to see a throughly good community production, be sure to message me for the deets, haha. :D

Also on Saturday: Got a manicure [my first!] :) Bird Girl gold, so's my directors would manage no complaints, lol. It ended up pretty spiffy, however, and I was even given a complimentary hand massage/snacks-- for only 10 BUCKS! Woot, woot for bargain pampering! ;) What else... The Producers is my new favorite movie, SHUT UP. XP Got pj's that look like Wendla's lil' panty-like undergarments, which kind of excites me. PS: My mom's a complete and utter SA fangirl now, which is just about both the coolest-- and most funniest thing ever! OOH! Saw HellBoy 2 today - I highly recommend it. In fact, I am MOAR than just on board for them to make a third, ok?! Lol. :P

Other than that? I just can't sleep. At all. Stick a fork in it, I am DONE, haha :) For those of you whom have taken the time to read this rest-deprived babble of a post, I thank you kindly. I love you all and now - if you'll excuse me - I'ma turn up the smooth jazz (lol, I know I'm lame) and count me some sheepies. Ha, g'night sweetsies. Peace <3
STACHE
Lololol at my amazingly random icon!! Though - what can I say? I have a thing for them Smosh boys. XP And if you *haven't* seen them-- check them out. NOW. And Fred as well. Have I mentioned how much I'm addicted to his videos lately?! Well, I am. End of story. Haha, enough rambling!

Rehearsal yesterday was. Da'. BOMB. Granted I was completely and utterly 100% exhausted afterwards, [and a tad bit bummed that I could not attend the SA San Diego Street Team meeting - though I had a few good friends apply for me] but I couldn't be happier that that feeling was because of Seussical!! That morning was our very first "official" run of several large group/individual numbers (for example, the Bird Girls of "Amazing Mayzie")-- though, it was also our very first GREEN EGGS AND HAM (and donuts and fruit, lol) PAJAMA BREAKFAST! That's right, ladies and gentlemen - from 10-2 yesterday morning, we Seussians were allowed an entire practice in our most loverly pj's-- prizes were even offered to the most "Seussified" pajamas!! (Lol, their grand prize was that they got to eat their breakfast first before everyone else. FTW. XP)

Although it was quite a rocky start, what with everyone being so hyped from OJ and donuts and whatnot, we really started to kick some ass towards our few final runs-- however, us Birdies (with the exception of Mariann, who was absent) stayed after an extra half-hour to speed through a couple other pieces. No to mention, we needs a serious "Harmony Day", haha. But we were still giving it our all, and it ended up fantastic! Andrea, our director, even complimented the fact that my facial expressions "really tell the story" and add an "extra pop" when we're singing/narrating/interacting/dancing! *blushes*

And now? Lol, I'm running through each individual number, being sure all are permanently (and perfectly) implemented in my hackin' PSYCHE before tomorrow night!!!! Phew. *sweats buckets* Peace.

PS: Saw The Love Guru today, due to the fact that my dad was ENTIRELY against me seeing Wanted and my step-bro didn't wanna' go and watch Wall-E. *pouts* (Guess that icon isn't so random after all now, huh??? XP) It was... remotely funny/watchable. Mostly stupid. But overall? Eh. It was moderately entertaining... An' that's all I've got to say about thaaaat.

Tony's Re-Cap

  • Jun. 15th, 2008 at 11:27 PM
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

SA Audition Update: I'm a woobie, and have decided to take a chance at auditioning this year. For the sheer experience, for the beauty of the show, whether I'm merely a swing or NOT-- thank you all for your kind convincing! And wish me a hell of a lotta' luck.

HAPPY TONY NIGHT!! (/FATHER'S DAY!)

STACHE
My God... can you believe it's been an entire YEAR since Spring Awakening last swept the Tony's - not to mention their leaving with 8 of the most prestigious of the awards, including Best Musical 2007?!! UNF. And now, what with their conveniently hidden, "under wraps" event to ensue tonight-- truly, I am utterly and 100% entirely STOKED. :] However, I am sad to report that, of all the shows nominated this evening, many of them are ones I haven't even dared to see. But does it matter, nor do I CARE?

Psh. Hells. No. XP

OFF TOPIC-- SA Auditions: Just last week, my good friend Amanda told me of an SA open call to take place in Los Angeles around September (?) of this year. (Her words exactly: "Don't ask me how I know that...!") Now, although technically you only have to be around the ages of 15-21/older to audition - which I HAD planned to do, once my braces were finally removed - well... after searching the forums of The Guilty Ones, I learned that, LEGALLY (due to possible charges of child pornography and such), you have to be 17 in order to understudy and/or play Wendla. Which is, in fact-

A bummer. An absolute (pardon my Swahili) FUCKING bummer.

... I figure it isn't worth it to audition and land the show, yet not be able to play the role I desire. [Your thoughts? I mean... should I try for the fun of it? Then again-- I'd hate to obtain a role and proceed to turn them down... UGH] (Really-- desire) Either that, or have my contract expire before I were to finally come of age. And so, sadly... I am unsure as to whether or NOT I'll be auditioning this year. Advice needed. But, hey!! If (and I stress if) I don't, I figure it'll give me the chance to improve TEN FOLD, take even more lessons, land several more leads (if lucky). And, as soon as I hit 17-- hit the deck. XD SA: Prepare yourselves!

PS-- "The Spring Standards": REALLY, Old Springs Pike? REALLY?!! Ah, well... a toast to your new "image". May it, uh-- bring you the best!

PPS: Johnny Gallagher Jr. - I just finished watching the Spring Awakening and Degrassi Live Verbal Mashup, and I find myself more in love with you with each passing moment... that is all. XD

Happy Freakin' Mother's Day!

Mother's Day Lunch: Chicken Ranch sandwich (covered in buffalo sauce, ranch - obviously - and layered with tomato), seasoned fries, and - for dessert - a Molten Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream?! DELISH'. *shudders*

24-Hour Theater: (First, an overview: 24-Hour Theater is an annual school workshop where 3 groups of writers - or in our case, 2 - spend the night in our Little Theatre and write several 30-minute one-act productions. Then, the following morning, actors whom signed up are called forth to spend the entire day learning both dialog and blocking untill seven o'clock that evening, whence we performOh. My. GOD. Such a blast!! Well... 95% of the time!!

Actually... more like 85%.

Unfortunately, in the production written for my troupe, their weren't many female parts and, failing to speak up when the "male" leads were offered, Kayleigh and I were forced to remain ensemble... I'm sorry: "Hansen fangirls". LOL. I don't even wanna' get into detail about our performance! Let's just say... it was called Psycho-Stimulants and revolved entirely around 2 boys, six chapters of a book, a morgue (both skits had to take place within the same location), a drug-addict uncle, a time machine, a Hansen concert, death, and light-up Sketchers. End of story...

You can't even begin to imagine. Haha -it was still fun, though!

Mattchior/Jesschior DVDs: They arrived in the mail all but just a few days ago! Hilasdughefbldsibvhglsidyfgbsdliubvgf!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, although I have to bear witness to that of the horrid, over-rated Wendla that is Alexandra FUCKING Socha, Blake Bashoff and Emma Hunton are working their orgasmic magic in BOTH copies. Woot, woot! XD

Scholarship Essay: Just yesterday, Mrs. Klein had offered scholarship acting lessons (worth $300 and over a course of 6-weeks) to 2 lucky students - one continuing on in theater and one graduating FUHS this year. Dedicated now more than ever to perfect my craft, I snatched an application and finished the qualification essay (one page) just several minutes ago. Wish me luck!!

Suessical the Musical Auditions: Tomorrow, 5:00 PM. Still unaware as to what I might sing, though deeply considering "All grown Up" from Bare. Again - wish me luck!! (Though, if anyone has any other suggestions for my piece, please-- FEEL FREE TO SHARE! Lol)

PS: I got's a new phone. WHUT, WHUT. Lol, well-- It isn't anything too spectacular (no camera or speaker phone capability), but it sure as hell is better than my previous one!! XP

Baseball, Boys, and Bare

1. As asked by Shayla's auntie Vivienne, Shay and I headed on down to the local Fullerton Sports Center to help in selling snacks at the high school league baseball game. (Padres VS ? - lol, we were rootin' for the Padres, sooo...) Unfortunately, we discovered upon arrival that you had to be 16 in order to work the counter, despite the fact that the manager's own NINE YEAR OLD daughter and several fourteen year old kids whom previously attended our junior high were both handling money and food. But whatev's; instead, Viv had us watch after her own two kids (Johnson, 11, and Jolie, 6) and Shayla's lil' bro Keathan (9) throughout the day/game as she sold. She even PAID us for it! Hells yes. Truly - Vivienne was wonderful, as were her kids. They didn't get into too much trouble, though a few kids who were dishing it to them got a mouthful from us, I'll tell ya' that much!! Lol. Really, it was a blast!

2. #33 and #34 (whom we later discovered was named Jeff)?! GORGEOUS. COULDN'T KEEP THEIR EYES OFF US. (Or rather, the other way around!) End of story.

3. My God... I just discovered Bare this afternoon. Two words: Brilliantly. Heart-breaking. A Catholic cross between RENT and Spring Awakening just... not as good. XP But still-- it's breathtaking. And woot, woot for Matt Doyle as Peter in the studio recording!!!! Can you say "fabulous"?!

4. Ate at Sizzler's for lunch. YUM. Finished up my Geometry project. *BARF* Talked to some old buds today, which was nice. Downloaded The Little Mermaid Broadway soundtrack, as well as Bare (obviously), The Producers, [title of show], and several songs from Candide. Was gonna' see Iron Man, but my dad and Ali got into a huge argument, leaving Ali and Tyler to rush off mysteriously-- only to view the movie themselves. It was a bummer, but hey - I may head on down to D*sneyland Friday, which more than makes up for it. Hands down.

5. Call backs list posted tomorrow... PRAY FOR ME!!

6. I apologize for such a short, rushed update! ... And - truly - I have no idea why I've been such a huge fan of lists lately. I just have, so... there. *Shrugs*

Icon!!

STACHE
Oh my God... There is absolutely NO amount of Caps Lock or keyboard smashing that could express my ultimate love for this icon.

'Nuff said. XD

So -- today's been a pretty good Sunday. This whole weekend, I've mainly been studying for ma' big math test on Tuesday (and, of course, researching as much as my brain could possibly absorb about Spring Awakening), so it was nice to get out of the house for a few.

Since my dad's been outta' town with his best friend Doug for the past few days (some Rugby tournaments in San Diego), me, Ali, and Tyler -- my dad's girlfriend and her son -- went out to Sizzler's for lunch. May I just state here and now that Sizzler's is FANTASTICAL, no matter how terrible their food may be for you!! Lol.

Afterwards we headed over to Blockbuster and rented -- dun dun dunnn! -- HOT ROD! Oh my God, I NEVER would've suspected that that movie was sooo funny!! If you haven't already seen it and enjoy a nice comedy once in a while, I highly suggest it. :D

PS: I have wOnDeRfUl news!!! My singing voice has OFFICIALLY returned! Woot, wooooooot!1!!1!1 Praise sweet, baby Jesus! Lol.

PSS: My Pop's returns home tomorrow, and, after much preperation, I am going to propose to him the top ten reasons why we should all fly to New York over my Spring Break -- and why, of course, I should see SPRING AWAKENING!! Wish me luck!

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH:

"Never gonna' stop, never gonna' change, never gonna' be the same... Never gonna' fall, never gonna' loose - never gonna' hold me back! * Never gonna' win, never gonna' feel; you're ever satisfied--?! You're never satisfied... *

She picks up the tips from under the cups of strangers. Another useless job she needs to get around; she's... never begged for anything--! But the taste of lights and people, clapping. * A deep, burning desire - that lifts her up, embracing the sound!! ..."
