After a Tuesday audition (and having been asked to sing both Meg pieces-- in ADDITION to female reporter Gloria Thorpe's (the third female lead's) show stopping number), as well as a vigorous dance call-back/double role call-backs for BOTH Meg and Gloria (who knew?! Cause *I* SURE AS HELL DIDN'T), casting was officially posted in all it's finality [or so we thought] yesterday break...

I had thought my call-back to have gone very, VERY well; having only but 10 minutes to split into harmonies, dance (once again - despite that of a pulled hamstring), and choose our own specific characterization... apparently, I was very, VERY mistaken:

I am still very honored to even be considered as an ensemble of such a wonderful team, and would be perfectly content to play that of a smaller role, it's just... I dunno', I-- I just... don't wanna' miss out on a bigger opportunity. And yet, my dad and his girlfriend like to think that I merely am not accepting of an ensemble role.

I don't even know how to explain it to them...!

If anyone has ANY information on other auditions - before making my decision, of course - let me know.

All right, soooo... I didn't exactly get the part(s) I wanted, although I did get a part! In fact - me and Melissa, "Mimi", (my opposite) are the only two freshman who DID get a part and not ensemble!!!

We both play the role of "Agnes", Lily's (the main character's) maid. As described, she's "long suffering" and "bored". It seems like it'll be a fun challenge, and, to quote Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen - which I'm watching right now: "There are no small parts, only small actors..."

Today was such a GREAT day; I'm so glad it's finally Winter Break!! I got the most amazing presents from my friends (fudge, jewelry, hair products, candy canes, cards), and there are only four more days until Christmas!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!! :D

Well, I best hit the hay - I'm going to a Christmas par-TAY tomorrow and I need my rest!!
