STACHE
After a Tuesday audition (and having been asked to sing both Meg pieces-- in ADDITION to female reporter Gloria Thorpe's (the third female lead's) show stopping number), as well as a vigorous dance call-back/double role call-backs for BOTH Meg and Gloria (who knew?! Cause *I* SURE AS HELL DIDN'T), casting was officially posted in all it's finality [or so we thought] yesterday break...

Name                             Number                    Part
Angela Griswold              25           Gloria Thorpe

~ As stated within our first table reads character description: "A probing, independent, and flirtatious sportswriter that covers the Washington Senators for the local newspaper."

I'm bold.
I'm curious (or, as some would more boldly put it: obnoxious).
I'm saucy and quick-witted.
I tool around with THE DEVIL.
I'm an insanely intense dancer.
And almost everybody hates me.

I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER.

I'M BAAAA-AAAAACK!!

BITCH.

And I.
Feel.
AWFUL.

It's been aboot-- what... who knows how long since I've last updated!! My life has been just about the equivelant and epitome of all things crazy-mad, but, rest assured:

I'M ALIVE, BITCHES. And Microsoft Word Processor to your Motherboards homeskillets, I have returned with a vengence. From here on out, I vow no more forgetting to update, as how can one really turn to follow my pursuit of the Great White Way without consistent journal entries? (lulz); no more not... getting r-replies to comments and... and messages!! No more... no more douchebaggery! Lol...

Really folks: I am sorry. I don't know how I let such an-- I don't wanna' sound like I have no life and say "important", haha, but... a significant part of my interwebz and everyday life, as well as the friends I've made here to slip through my fingers. I only hope that it isn't too late for me to jump back on the wagon!! And so, in order to make up for such a major loss of time, I present to you: A short listing of the events in my life-- before my online death! Lol :D

I Saw the Cover and I Judged the Book: )

And if I can even manage to think of any more, I'll be sure to add them as a random daily train of thought, hahaha! Oh God, eternal thanks everyone whose managed to put up with me thus far and to ANYONE who managed to make it through reading this post ALIVE, lolol. All of my love!! HAPPY LATE HOLIDAYS!

Seussical: The Musical - OPENING NIGHT!!!

My. God.

Tonight was so, SO incredibly amazing. I ca-- I can't even begin to describe how much of an ecstatic whirlwind this singular production was! The only coherent thoughts I can manage are: Hsdjvbhksdvbkdhsvbdhkvbhdbv...!!! In short: WE BROUGHT THE (full) HOUSE DOWN. Did I mention we sold out?!

Oh.

Well-- we did, haha ;P

I'm just... truly, I'm left in awe. Every single person within this cast is so beautifully and GLORIOUSLY talented; they had the highest of energy, the best of spirits, despite the fact that our Cat was feeling somewhat sick before hand. But, however: at least I didn't slip in the snow this time!!! (Haha, it's a looooong story, soon to come XD)

ACK. It. Was. Beautious. I... In all honesty, I couldn't feel as blessed as I do now to work with both such an open and gifted creative team/cast. Unfortunately, however-- my camera battery died, and photos will have to be posted tomorrow night. UGH. Honestly? They review the show within themselves, haha :) God... I can barely even contain my st-stoked... ness right now, lolol. I pray you'll wish us luck in our next four, loves! Peace. Around the world. For generations ;D
STACHE

It is now 3:25 AM. In a surge of both randomocity and insomnia, my mom and I headed on down to Blockbuster, grabbing several pints of Ben and Jerry's along the way, and - 'lo and behold! I managed to come across Pieces of April. In celebration of that of Johnny's 24th birthday (as well as his genius work) I rented/finished watching the film mere ours ago... for the first. Time. EVER. And... ya' know... I couldn't help but ask myself:

HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS BEFORE?! Johnny: You are 110% the most completely and utterly adorable, awkward, beautiful, wonderful, incredibly TALENTED young men that I have never met; truly - you never cease to amaze me! Please to be marrying me now. (lol)

To anyone who has yet to see this movie/is merely a fan of Sir John Gallagher, Jr.: Rent it. NOW. That is all.

Night of Stars

Broadway
** Before I begin, may it please be noted that (prior to this event), I had raced urgently to Target, purchased a dress, changed within the department's bathroom, and then headed back across town to the FUHS Little Theatre. End of story.

Tonight was FUHS's own Annual Night of Stars/Thespian Induction Ceremony, a welcome to all new drama club additions, a farewell to that of the seniors, scholarship opportunities, and awards.

The International Thespian Soceity (official, I know) is merely a group of drama advisors whom keep track of our "thespian points", which we receive certain quantities of for scenes/shows/roles performed. Given these points, one is brought into the society as an official thespian at 10, marking them a One Star. (I myself am a Three) The more you chance and complete, the higher you rank, gaining more credits during that of high school graduation.

Tonight, however, was spent getting those of us freshman thouroughly conjoined with the other, most current drama students and club leaders, consisting of reciting the official thespian pledge, lighting celebratory candles, and receiving both roses and certificates. After blowing out our flames, several varied awards were given: first were to those whom assisted in one/all aspect(s) of our performances (parents, students, friends, etc.). We were then given plaques, based on several rounds of nominations (quite like that of MINI-TONYS!), for outstanding performances within both our fall and spring productions: The Sisters Rosensweig and On the Twentieth Century.

Ahem.

The Sisters Rosensweig
Oustanding Female Cameo - Angela Griswold.

Dear creative team of MTOC's Seussical the Musical: Stick that in your pipe and smoke it. XP

PS: Auditioned for Spring Concert today ("Green Finch and Linnet Bird"). Hoping all went well!
PPS: Alexandra Socha is FUCKING REDICULOUS. (Full review - 2.23.08 DVD - to come soon)
PPPS: Only 2 more days until Lea and Jon take forever from Spring Awakening the grace of their presence. F'in A... :[

Feeling Better

STACHE
Much, MUCH better, in fact. Although, I do still have an awful cough/stuffy nose - which really frightens me because, fuck my life: the Vocal Ensemble auditions are tomorrow. Hello hot tea, with lemon and honey, of course! My thanks to everyone who offered me a virtual hug and their sweet words of a speedy recovery!

(Quick hunch as to why I might have gotten sick: Sunday = my cousin Austin's 6th birthday party. Little kids, coughing, tugging on me with their adorable, pudgy - yet germy - lil' fingers, FIVE cats. Ah, well - it was still a blast!)

Today went pretty well. I didn't miss out on much yesterday, besides the fact that we proceeded to perform virtual frog dissections in Biology. BARF. Trust me when I say that I have the weakest of all weak stomachs, and I'd rather have a fever than do a dissection, whether on the computer or not, any day!! Though, today in science kept my skin crawling just as equally as any dead frog would have done.

For starters - there was a random bucket of dead rats lying in one of the lab sinks. For no apparent reason, they were just sort of-- chillin'... dead. Floating around in c-chemicals. Yeah. We were then told that, since we couldn't complete the dissections today (for the other science class - agriculture - needed to perform them as well), we would be observing pill bugs. Don't think any less of me for sounding like a total and complete wimp, but... bugs? Give me the jibbilies. End of story.

Comedy/Improv, however, MORE than just made up for it; my God, we had a flippin' blast!! We simply ran through games for a good hour and a half, getting us newer members more accustomed to the feel/flow of things. They were simply... well, improv games, such as ones you would see on Whose Line is it Anyway?. 4 Lines - 3 Men, Scenes From a Hat, Questions, Emo. Party, and Good, Bad, Worst. I was even asked to participate (well... more like forced, and by my friend Justin, no less) in Good, Bad, Worst.

You see, someone stands and asks the three "contestants" (Good, Bad, and Worst) a question. For example, Justin had said: "Contestant Number 1: I have a bladder disorder which causes me to go to the restroom a lot. If I could not find a private restroom in time, and needed to go in public, what would you suggest I do?" Then Good (in our case, Shayla) would give him a good, straight-forward answer/advice, while Bad would proceed (in a persona of some type) to twist it into a punchline. Worst (Me, also in a persona) would then give them... well, the worst, most nonsensical answer.

I portrayed Miss Carolina. Beware of my funnies. XD

All in all, it was a good day... though I'm really hoping - scratch that: PRAYING - my sore throat hits the road by tomorrow morning. Wish me luck...

PS: I purchased a "Wendla" shirt on Sunday. It was on sale at Target (only $3.75!!) and - I swear - it looks exactly like her kindergarten dress, albeit white... and a shirt. Lol. I wore it today; perhaps even I'll post some pics!

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Dinner Theatre -- WHEW! Talk about hectic! Two nights of, "Shhhh!", and, "We need an extra chicken at table 13!!", and, "WATER TEAM! WE NEED OUR WATER TEAM!!!" My... GOD. I would never be able to be a waitress my entire life!! Lol. Although, I have to admit... it was sorta' fun... But, when with friends -- what isn't?! XD

Chocolate -- Need I say more?

Mimi -- My dearest, darlingest lil' kitty is PREGNANT! EEK!! Only a few more weeks, and then -- whamo! We'll be hearing the little pitter-patter (and "mews") of kittens! (I'm planning on naming some Melchior, Moritz, and Wendla... ;p)

NEW YORK -- THAT'S RIGHT, BABY!!!! MARCH 23 - 27, I'M HEADIN' OFF TO THE BIG APPLE!1!!!!111!1!1!1!! My Dad just dropped the bomb yesterday; I've NEVER been so excited in my entire life! :D Plus... me and his girlfriend scored ORCHESTRA seats to see Spring Awakening!!! EEEEEEEK! I -- CAN'T -- WAIT!

Louis Vuitton -- My good friend (and avid Moritz-lover), Kayleigh, invited me over to her house after school yesterday before Dinner Theatre. We had a blast: listening to music, watching videos, eating grilled cheese sammiches! Lol. We also chatted it up for HOURS, and she told me the most unbelievable story!

Turns out -- her uncle Jeff's sister is both a professional surfer/part-time model, so she recieves LOADS of promotional items that she hands off to Kayleigh. Now, Kayleigh has never been a Gucci, Prada, or Louis Vuitton kind of gal'; in fact, she told me that very day that she had happened to have 2 Louis Vuitton handbags in her closet that she had never... even... used!

"Really?" I asked her, my jaw dropping.
"Yeah," she replied, carefully peeling apart her orange. "They just kinda' sit there, gathering dust..." Suddenly -- her head popped up. "Do you want one?!" she asked, glancing at me.

HjhlidiwWYefbadvlaFngfLJADFBjdlidaglerg!! What was I supposed to do -- refuse?! ...... All right; I admit that I did at first. I mean, I couldn't just take a thousand-dollar bag from her... for FREE! But she insisted.

Can you believe it?! I have REAL LOUIS VUITTON! I -- PFFT -- IT'S A -- BUDDA' -- WOOT! I am truly blessed; my life couln't BE any better right now!! :D

(PS: My voice? Now FULLY recovered! I am unworthy of such good fortune!!!!! Lol. XD)

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH:

"Never gonna' stop, never gonna' change, never gonna' be the same... Never gonna' fall, never gonna' loose - never gonna' hold me back! * Never gonna' win, never gonna' feel; you're ever satisfied--?! You're never satisfied... *

She picks up the tips from under the cups of strangers. Another useless job she needs to get around; she's... never begged for anything--! But the taste of lights and people, clapping. * A deep, burning desire - that lifts her up, embracing the sound!! ..."
