Yet Another Three Shows Down...!

And tonight's was the best of them yet. I'm... I'm so, SO terribly unprepared (and DREADING) tomorrow's closing matinee. Ironically? End. Of. Story.

Full review of the following performance, past shows, pictures, dance party extraordinare, and older-teen-between-shows-Seuss-PCP-perverted-pizza-picnic (whew, haha) soon to come, preferably after both family awards banquet/cast party. I apologiiiize: I know my posts have been... lacking magic lately, but I swear on Mother Mary that I will MOAR than just make it up in both photo and woobie dump :] For now? Too exhausted... too hyped... and yet all too hackin' bummed. G'night, all... <:(

<3

Seussical: The Musical - OPENING NIGHT!!!

My. God.

Tonight was so, SO incredibly amazing. I ca-- I can't even begin to describe how much of an ecstatic whirlwind this singular production was! The only coherent thoughts I can manage are: Hsdjvbhksdvbkdhsvbdhkvbhdbv...!!! In short: WE BROUGHT THE (full) HOUSE DOWN. Did I mention we sold out?!

Oh.

Well-- we did, haha ;P

I'm just... truly, I'm left in awe. Every single person within this cast is so beautifully and GLORIOUSLY talented; they had the highest of energy, the best of spirits, despite the fact that our Cat was feeling somewhat sick before hand. But, however: at least I didn't slip in the snow this time!!! (Haha, it's a looooong story, soon to come XD)

ACK. It. Was. Beautious. I... In all honesty, I couldn't feel as blessed as I do now to work with both such an open and gifted creative team/cast. Unfortunately, however-- my camera battery died, and photos will have to be posted tomorrow night. UGH. Honestly? They review the show within themselves, haha :) God... I can barely even contain my st-stoked... ness right now, lolol. I pray you'll wish us luck in our next four, loves! Peace. Around the world. For generations ;D

Shameless Show Primping: JOIN THE WEST COAST GUILTY ONES!!!!

Haha, DO IT. XP Please tell them I referred you! :)

***

It's still not too late to join the WEST COAST GUILTY ONES, Broadway/San Diego's official Street Team for the West Coast Premiere of SPRING AWAKENING!

What is Spring Awakening?
Broadway's most talked about new musical and the biggest Tony Award®-winner in years, Spring Awakening, the 8-time Tony Award® winning Broadway musical, will make its West Coast premiere at the Balboa Theatre from August 15 – 31.

Based on the infamous 1891 Frank Wedekind play, Spring Awakening features an electrifying score by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, direction by Michael Mayer, choreography by award-winning Bill T. Jones and Book by Mr. Sater. Set against the backdrop of a repressive and provincial late 19th century Germany, Spring Awakening tells the timeless story of teenage self-discovery and budding sexuality as seen through the eyes of three teenagers. Haunting and provocative, Spring Awakening celebrates an unforgettable journey from youth to adulthood.

Who are the Guilty Ones?
The Guilty Ones started as a group of fans in New York who loved SPRING AWAKENING so much, they decided to organize and spread the word on their own. As SPRING AWAKENING prepares to launch its first national tour, Broadway/San Diego will be following in the original Guilty Ones' footsteps by establishing the West Coast Guilty Ones as our official street team of guerilla marketers.

What do I have to do to become a Guilty One?
Your involvement with The West Coast Guilty Ones can include as little or as much as you want to do. We'll be operating everything on a point system which means the more you help us promote the show, the more awesome "junk" you'll receive.

The Deeds
-Passing out stickers, flyers and posters.
-Joining us at community events to help us hype up the show
-Sign spinning
-Spreading the word on MySpace and Facebook
The Junk
-A Guilty Ones t-shirt
-Incredible Spring Awakening merchandise
-Exclusive opportunities to meet and interact with the cast!
-An offer to purchase on-stage seating!
-Plus much, much more!

LINK: http://www.BroadwaySD.com
Email guiltyones@broadwaysd.com with your name, age, and easiest ways to contact you for membership :)

Weekend Review

THANK YOU ALL SO INCREDIBLY MUCH FOR THE WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY WISHES!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL IMMENSELY, AND AM HIGHLY ANTICIPATING WHAT THIS YEAR WILL BRING! :D

***

Reasons Why My Birthday ROCKED: * Getting both a card and $50 in the mail from my grandpa up in Chicago, then turning round to spend said mula on a new navy dress and 3 blouses :) * Dinner at Bubba Gump's. * Having the staff at Bubba Gump's sing to me. And feed me a sundae. And THEN proceeding to have me, and I quote: "shake mah' rump", haha! * Eating some of the most GLORIOUS triple-fudge-fantasy birthday cake-- and from Costco, no doubt! * Seuss tech rehearsal, first inside the theater (haha, I know - sad, right? ;P) * Buying an amazazing $2 headband (on saaaaale) from Target :) * Getting yet ANOTHER birthday cake, special ordered, from both my padre and his girlie! * Mama buying me Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. BEST DS GAME EVER, OK? Lololol :D * My mom also ordering me my SD SA tickets-- opening night, baby! Hliughyizfgvyfgv!!

However...

Reasons Why My Birthday SUCKED: * Constant arguments; more frequent than usual, unfortunately. * Spending most of my actual birthday waiting inside a doctor's office, for my mom's FRIEND, no joke, and watching - in confusion, I might add - D*sney-esque Spanish soap operas. And at Linens and Things. FOR MY MOM. * The rest of the SA OBC leaving the following day :[[[[[[[[[[[[ * Still on the dot :( * My "special birthday lunch" was spent at the Subway across the street. FTW! * My cake being bought in majority to my mom's wants, and only considered "half" of my birthday cake-- when asked. * My mother also being so ghetto to the point where she not only did NOT put candles in the cake, but grabbed what looked to be like an incense stick (it wasn't), lit it on fire using the stove burners, sticking it within my chunk of cake, and proceeding to have me blow it out. * Again-- arguing. Need I explain more...? * Not seeing Mama Mia! Nor The Dark Night. :(((

Still-- in essence, I'm virtually a (truly) blessed girl. Ha; after all, they've pretty much balanced one another ;P <3
First *official* Seussian dress rehearsal tomorrow night-- will be sure to photograph!!!! :D

Birthday Countdown: Only TWO MORE DAYS! :)

UGH. After several, throughly well full-act reviews of Seuss. (off-book, with the exception of understudies), constant re-fittings, hair and shoe notes, show notes-- our production is finally starting to resemble that of the true GLORIOUS-NESS of Opening Night!!! :D Not that we haven't all done well before, but - I truly believe that for the first time tonight... we let loose. We finally stopped processing our motivation, had a blast, and (with the exception of our FINALE) we were at the pinnacle of our best work! However-- there has been one... plaguing setback:

Everyone's getting sick.
BLECH.

And, though I've had the blessed fortune of not catching anything as of yet, I think I just might be. My throat is a tad sore and, what with our first week soon approaching, Im'a hafta' take it pretty easy. Say hello Vitamin C and gargling boiling salt water!

Not to mention, Mariann totally jinxed me ;( When called in for our first re-fitting (in which Mrs. Roysten needed to be sure we could actually get into and out of the dresses in one piece now that they have trim), Mariann said, "It would suck if someone - and I'll probably be that one - got their period now before the show." <---- And that, my friends, is NEVER fun.

Oh ho HO. She was soooo off. THANKS Mariann :P

Ah, well. On the bright side, only 2 days left until I hit the big 1-5!!!!!!!! [If you didn't already know that, lol] Whut, whut, whut home-skillets :D (Oh, yes. Fear my badass street-ness, lulz) Feel free to throw me a surprise party for serious you guys, hahaha. <3 ~ Peace. Around the world. For generations, all ;] And please forgive me for this amazingly exciting entry, ha. *insert sarcasm here*

PS: Two randomly, slightly hilarious, facts I discovered today when reading People magazine: Kevin Federline is gonna' be playing The UPS Guy in Legally Blonde. #$%@#$%!*(, FTW?! Lolol. Also: Demi Lovato is soon to get her own D*sney Channel original series, Welcome to Mollywood. I'm actually a little embarrassed to admit that I'm extremely excited for this, OKAY?! Haha. :D

PPS: Much thanks to michellecore and her glorious generosity, for I now have an audio of Port Authority. (SQUEE!) Johnny Gallagher + an Irish brogue = one of the most adorably SEXY things I've ever heard in my entire life, spinning one of the most beautiful stories. God, I wish I had been able to see it live...! :)

Why, hello there Insomnia. Fancy meeting you again...!

It's 4:21 in the morning and, have I - Misses Angela Griswold - had even but a wink of sleep? NO'M. This, my friends, is the reason in which why I curse my family's night owlage-- I mean, I have rehearsal tomorrow (our first week within the actual theatre)!! UGH. Speaking of rehearsal, our costume fitting was GLORIOUS on Saturday, even though the yellow of both my feathers and leotard cause me to gain a pretty close resemblance to that of Tweety Bird, lol. (Unfortunately, I couldn't manage any pictures; will show up shortly!)

Although, I strangely adore it; honestly, it's gonna' be quite fantastic-- the costume itself consists of (as stated aboooove) a leotard, with two layered feather boas of the same color across the bottom front. The boas then drape off the side of the outer thigh and gather again to layer/hang in threes upon the TUSH. Plus, we all got to choose differing trims (mine's all sequiny and gold-like, lol) and decide how we wanted them to be layered across our dresses-- the only downside?

My costume was (at first) missing it's frontal layers and, therefore, I had to pin the side feathers across my crotch... Yep.

Lololol, but they soon fixed that, and we now all look extremely FIERCE, if I do say so myself-- I'm incredibly excited for this production, and - in fact, if anyone happens to be in da' neighborhood from around July 24th-27th (which isn't the majority of ANY of you, but--! Lol) and wanting to see a throughly good community production, be sure to message me for the deets, haha. :D

Also on Saturday: Got a manicure [my first!] :) Bird Girl gold, so's my directors would manage no complaints, lol. It ended up pretty spiffy, however, and I was even given a complimentary hand massage/snacks-- for only 10 BUCKS! Woot, woot for bargain pampering! ;) What else... The Producers is my new favorite movie, SHUT UP. XP Got pj's that look like Wendla's lil' panty-like undergarments, which kind of excites me. PS: My mom's a complete and utter SA fangirl now, which is just about both the coolest-- and most funniest thing ever! OOH! Saw HellBoy 2 today - I highly recommend it. In fact, I am MOAR than just on board for them to make a third, ok?! Lol. :P

Other than that? I just can't sleep. At all. Stick a fork in it, I am DONE, haha :) For those of you whom have taken the time to read this rest-deprived babble of a post, I thank you kindly. I love you all and now - if you'll excuse me - I'ma turn up the smooth jazz (lol, I know I'm lame) and count me some sheepies. Ha, g'night sweetsies. Peace <3

WELCOME TO THE GLORIOUS BOREDOM THAT IS MY LIFE!

* "FAT! FAAAAT! FATTY!!! FATSO! FAAT! FAAT! YOU BIG FATTY FAT FAT FATTY FAT WALRUS, GIMME' THOSE FAT BOOKS!!" I've *officially* watched The Producers five times this week, three times in one day :) HBO On Demand, baby.

* Green gummy bears are slowly, but surely, becoming my favorite.

* Seussical is going AMAZINGLY wonderful-- we've just recently had our Act I/II off-book run-throughs and, tomorrow afternoon (2-3:30), we have our very first costume fitting (though, we Bird Girls have already had the glorious opportunity to view our outfits before hand) I'll be sure to take pictures!! PHOTO SHOOT TIME! XP

* Had spaghetti with marina and turkey meatballs for dinner. Unf-- HELLO DELICIOUSNESS.

* Been belting a lot recently, and, am extremely proud to report that my voice sounds pretty damn amazing! Tried to upload a view clips onto YouTube the other day (as well as a sketch my friend Shayla and I created on Wednesday), <strike>but the website's being a bitch. UGH. If anyone knows the answer as to why a video will upload/channel be created, and yet not show up in the search or on the profile at ALL, pretty please to be letting me know? Thanks in advance to anyone whom can help :)</strike> EDIT: Invalid file format. Must fix, lol.

* My school just might be considering Frank Wedekind's Spring Awakening for our fall production. Hjhsdvbjsdhvbhsdvdhjvb, how cool is THAT?! God... I need to brush up on the scripture! Links anyone? (Any translation is perfectly acceptable)

* I'm getting a manicure tomorrow. Huzzah. :DDD (PS: Had an ortho appointment yesterday morning. They've now attached my final tooth along the rest of the wire, slowly pulling it into place. You can safely bet that my mouth hurts like a MOTHER right now)

* Watched Jon and Lea's final about... 6 MOAR TIMES since it's arrival, lol. Full review soon to come for those whom don't have it or either were not at the performance!

* Been trying to write lately. Some drabbles have been born better than expected; others? *insert chirping crickets here* .... Ahem. :[

* Marie Antoinette was a complete and total waste of 2 hours of my life, despite the few lulz within the film.

... God. I'm just so extremely exciting, aren't I?! Lol. :)

Happy Fifth of July :)

* The Highlight of My Independence: [Hope yours was all as equally a blast as my own!] Stopping to (illegally) purchase a butt-load of fireworks on the way home from my uncle's birthday, proceeding to light them off along the alley-way of my sort-of-Grandma Jesse's house and, watching as one of our own sparklers burts into a mad fit on the concrete, my mom's boyfriend's friend finds it fit to say - sipping his beer: "... Now that's just damn pretty." Lolololololol. God... I sure do love my hick of a family, ha. X3

* Saw Wall-E today, [tried to win an iPod Nano in the arcade beforehand. Failed miserably, lol] and I just about EXPLODED from the sheer sugary-goodness of that movie! Honest to God, I loved that film to bits and pieces. UNF. I mean, so much of both story and character development was done through mere animation alone, and, if I may say so myself-- it served a bit of a friendly fore-warning. But, then again: that's just one girl's opinion, lol. Your thoughts???

* Oh my God. OH. MY. GOD. Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod--- for serious, you guys. My mom may just be the most amazing person in the world. I mean, after all the garbage she's ever put me through (haha) she may be - just may be - trying to make up for it. Not ONLY is she taking me to see Mama Mia! the day before my birthday... but she's already purchased me two tickets to go and see SA in LA as a gift. Hzuvidsvgdusyvgdu-- so, this now means that, not only am I seeing it in San Fran and San Diego... but LA as well. *BURSTS FROM SHEER GLEE* I love you Mama. From the bottom of my heart, just-- sososososo much. I love you. XP

* Working on several more prompts, as well as an AMAZAZING start to Kassie and I's Hernst RP. Have fun at your academic camp, love-- but be sure to hurry back!! Lol.

* Watched Fred's new vid. <strike>*pees pants*</strike> Wait, what? (lol) Found a tank-top when shopping at some Mexican outlet down over at my mom's (FTW!). $3.99, detailed with a glittery, vintage 1940's Barbie illustration. In other words: life is pretty good right now, lolol. :D

As prompted by few - and in a sudden stoke of boredom, I now officially present to you... *insert drum roll here* BITS OF MY LIFE THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHS!!!!

..........

Yaaaaay...!

Something blue: given to me by MISSWRITTEN!

Ha. It's some sort of flower-thingy that's been hangin' up on my wall since the 6th grade. *shrugs* I kinda' like it... XD

My bedroom door: Again - hats off to MISSWRITTEN!!

Lololol - the star taped up is from my 8th grade [Valentine's] desert (NOT dinner) theater; I sang "Hopelessly Devoted to You". And, yes, it's complete with my name written upon it and a small television logo underneath! Haha. :D

My favorite movie: Once more... I bet you can't guess-- pfft, MISSWRITTEN!! ;P

Is it a bad thing that my favorite just so happens to be a bootleg of a Broadway show...? XP

Various shots of the inside of my closet (Well... at least HALF of it, anyways): Prompted by MONKEYBEAR242!

Lol at my obsessively large, UNHEALTHY collection of stuffed animals. Granted these aren't ALL the clothes I own. I may be poor, but I'm not THAT poor, lol. I just haven't done much laundry lately... *blushes* (Ha - I'm wearing that brown and pink flowered sun-dress right now!)

And - what the hell?! A few extra pictures, just for fun, won't hurt!

*insert confetti here*
My infamous Target Wendla shirt!! Lol. Now, I've yet to take any pictures in it MYSELF-- but I thought you guys might have some fun knowing what it looks like. ;)

And, now - last, but most DEFINITELY not least - a photo of lil' ol' me. :D (lol)

I dunno'... I think it's very... "Wendla-esque", even though I look like about 10-years old! And like Anna. Except... not as cute, lol. I've, personally, never thought myself to be very photogenic person, but-- this one was sorta' fun to take. *shrugs*

As of now...? That's a wrap! Now, I know I've mentioned several other times (for which I'm sosososo sorry!!), but if anyone has any other suggestions, please comment and let me know! This meme was surprisingly fun, and gave me something other to do in my spare time outside of rehearsal besides lurk the internet and RP with Kassie. Not that either of those are bad things. FAR from it in fact, lol. XD <3

"... It beats the crap out of you and hurts like hell, but you stick with it because you love it and you know it loves you."

Well then... Seussical must love me one HELL of a lot. I just got back from a 4. Hour. Rehearsal. Yes, ladies and gentlemen - that's right! 4 HOURS. Not that it wasn't a blast-- I'm just soooo hackin' exhausted! The entire period we were both learning/running our final number ("Green Eggs and Ham"), complete with music and swing dancing. Do you have any idea how HARD it is to mash potato?!?! Well. It is. Lol, still-- I had a great time! I just can't feel my legs is all... *dies*

PS: Starting my first RP(s) with kassiehp0593!WOOT, WOOT!!!
Get me a bigger pool ya' stupid floatie, GET ME A BIGGER POOL!!

Lololol at my amazingly random icon!! Though - what can I say? I have a thing for them Smosh boys. XP And if you *haven't* seen them-- check them out. NOW. And Fred as well. Have I mentioned how much I'm addicted to his videos lately?! Well, I am. End of story. Haha, enough rambling!

Rehearsal yesterday was. Da'. BOMB. Granted I was completely and utterly 100% exhausted afterwards, [and a tad bit bummed that I could not attend the SA San Diego Street Team meeting - though I had a few good friends apply for me] but I couldn't be happier that that feeling was because of Seussical!! That morning was our very first "official" run of several large group/individual numbers (for example, the Bird Girls of "Amazing Mayzie")-- though, it was also our very first GREEN EGGS AND HAM (and donuts and fruit, lol) PAJAMA BREAKFAST! That's right, ladies and gentlemen - from 10-2 yesterday morning, we Seussians were allowed an entire practice in our most loverly pj's-- prizes were even offered to the most "Seussified" pajamas!! (Lol, their grand prize was that they got to eat their breakfast first before everyone else. FTW. XP)

Although it was quite a rocky start, what with everyone being so hyped from OJ and donuts and whatnot, we really started to kick some ass towards our few final runs-- however, us Birdies (with the exception of Mariann, who was absent) stayed after an extra half-hour to speed through a couple other pieces. No to mention, we needs a serious "Harmony Day", haha. But we were still giving it our all, and it ended up fantastic! Andrea, our director, even complimented the fact that my facial expressions "really tell the story" and add an "extra pop" when we're singing/narrating/interacting/dancing! *blushes*

And now? Lol, I'm running through each individual number, being sure all are permanently (and perfectly) implemented in my hackin' PSYCHE before tomorrow night!!!! Phew. *sweats buckets* Peace.

Favorite Character?
Wendla, HANDS. DOWN.

Favorite Original Cast Member?
Sir Jonathan "The Groffster" Groff.

Favorite Non-Original Cast Member?
ERYN MURMAN.

Favorite Understudy?
Again: ERYN MURMAN. Though I haven't had the glorious blessing of seeing her within other roles, her Wendla is, without a doubt, one of the most wonderous things I've ever *heard* on a professional stage. The entirety of her character arc is so complete and raw; truly, she never ceases to move me each and EVERY time. Uh-- Not to mention, she has the voice of a complete and total GODDESS and her belt is moar than just fierce!!

Best Actor?
Gallagher or Groff.

Best Actress?
Personally? For me, it would have to be a tie between Eryn and Lea.

Best Male Vocalist?
Matt Doyle.

Best Female Vocalist?
Lea or Eryn.

Favorite Pairing?
Melchior/Wendla AND Melchior/Moritz. *whut, whut*

Favorite Song?
The Bitch of Living.

If you could play any character which one would you play?
Wendla. Truly, it's my dream role--- my first time seeing the show... I dunno', everything about her just seemed to click instantly with me. Beneath what seems like "innocence" and "naivety", she's intelligent, and... emotionally driving--- *gushes* I just love it.

John Gallagher Jr or Blake Bashoff?
BASHOOOOOOOOOOFFF ALL THE WAY, BABY. XP

Jonathon Groff or Kyle Riabko?
Well... I haven't seen Riabkior yet, but... is there really even ANY comparison? Groff. End of story.

Lea Michele or Alexandra Socha?
OMFG, LEA IS SUPERIOR IN ALL ASPECTS. DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED.

Lauren Pritchard or Emma Hunton?
Emma.

Gideon Glick or Blake Daniel?
Blake-ity Blake-Blake, Bla-Blake Blake BLAKE.

Johnathon B Wright or Matt Doyle?
UNF, Matty.

PS: Saw The Love Guru today, due to the fact that my dad was ENTIRELY against me seeing Wanted and my step-bro didn't wanna' go and watch Wall-E. *pouts* (Guess that icon isn't so random after all now, huh??? XP) It was... remotely funny/watchable. Mostly stupid. But overall? Eh. It was moderately entertaining... An' that's all I've got to say about thaaaat.

A List of Most Epic (-ally Random) Proportions

* Camp Rock was... remotely watchable! And - might I dare to mention the following two (however personal) opin-ions: Demi Lovato? DAMN, GIRL. CAN. SING. Joe Jonas... and, uh-- his "acting", on the other hand... not so great. Yeah.

* Vanessa Anne Hudgens: I'm only allowing myself to state this once, and ONLY ONCE-- Get. Some. Help. Truth be told, sweetheart... you like a drugee in your new video. And, honestly, I mean - "Sneakernight"?!! Please.

* Jonathan Groff (as well as the entire cast of this summer's revival of Hair) displayed in Vogue. He is such an adorable goober. And I love him immensely for it. XD <3

* June 17th = My lil' bro's 9th birthday. Went to Dave & Buster's on Saturday in celebration. Both aunt and Mama got into a heated debate over gay marital rights-- my mother, however, voiced that I was "too young to have an opinion on the matter". *insert obscene gesture here* Won the Jackpot. TWICE. (1,000 on "The Big Spin" and 400 on Deal or No Deal). Considering I never win ANYTHING: FTW!!

* Watched Jesschior once again, only along with my mother this time. (Review soon to come, I swear it!!) ROFL-- I find it fit to mention that she found Socha as equally ridiculous as both myself and the majority of others. XD

* I need to work out. For serious. *Uuuuuuuugh*

* Seussical rehearsal was filled with absolutely nothing short of complete and total AMAZING-NESS!! We laughed, we bashed-- though all in good fun! XP

* I wanna' be a part of the SA San Diego street team so immensely, it's driving me up the wall!! Unfortunately, I have rehearsal this Saturday, and cannot attend the first official meeting. If anyone DOES end up going, I'd love you for all eternity if you managed to pick me up/sign me up for any handouts/freebies/information. I'd be MOAR than willing to pay for shipping!! If not, it's nothing to worry about. Just a mere request. (Email: gjgto1@aol.com)

* My voice sounds surprisingly fabulous lately. :D

* I have an ortho. appointment on Thursday. Hoo-rah.

* Lol, I'm rambling now!! Have a good night everyone... and please forgive me for the lack of energy in my most recent posts. In all honesty: I'M DRAINED. The end

"Aren't you just the most perfect thing ever?!"

In a surge of both randomocity and insomnia, my mom and I headed on down to Blockbuster, grabbing several pints of Ben and Jerry's along the way, and - 'lo and behold! I managed to come across Pieces of April. In celebration of that of Johnny's 24th birthday (as well as his genius work) I rented/finished watching the film mere ours ago... for the first. Time. EVER. And... ya' know... I couldn't help but ask myself:

HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS BEFORE?! Johnny: You are 110% the most completely and utterly adorable, awkward, beautiful, wonderful, incredibly TALENTED young men that I have never met; truly - you never cease to amaze me! Please to be marrying me now. (lol)

To anyone who has yet to see this movie/is merely a fan of Sir John Gallagher, Jr.: Rent it. NOW.
"I will shoot you!"

My First "OFFICIAL" Day of Summer, Mon. 5/16/08 (In other words, complete and utter RANDOMOCITY):

* New breakfast cereal excites me-- Keebler's Cookie Crunch. And they say I need a hobby, psh! (Lol)
* Watched Monster House this morning. FTW, I can't believe I forgot how much I love that movie!! XD
* Was gonna' clean my room. Was too lazy. Watched SA Off-Broadway instead. Why is it that the beating scene was always so much more powerful THEN?
* Lurked around TGOs. And Facebook. And Myspace. Yep. :]
* Surprisingly-- my voice has sounded pretty damn amazazing today! Lol. Belted "Mama Who Bore/Reprise", "Green Finch and Linnet Bird", "Girl in 14G", "It's a Perfect Relationship", "One", "My Junk", "All Grown Up", and "The I Love You Song"...! XP
* Hannah Montana is... remotely amusing. PS: <strike>I am TOTES in love with Mitchell Musso, now</strike>. Wait, what?
* Had Seussical rehearsal. Learned music for "Chasing the Whos". I swear, them kids are hella' amazing (and hella' wonderful)!
* I can't wait for Wall-E. Really-- I. CAN'T. WAIT! Most adorable lil' robots ever. With the most adorable storyline ever! What moar could a girl possibly wish for?! Lol.
* Worked on several fan-fic prompts. (SA related, of course)
* Downloaded Sa 2001 workshop audio, as well as the original Atlantic script. SQUEEEEEEEE!
* Had an odd dream pertaining to JGalls as I was napping earlier this afternoon... that is all.

Haha, I apologize for this absolute utter waste of a post. I pray your own lives are thousand times more entertaining... or at least NORMAL. Lol!

PS: Hey,
I'm not completely positive of the wednesday matinee on the 16th yet, but I'm pretty sure that the 19th matinee I will be going on as Moritz. And yes, the 19th night show will be my, Skylar, Phoebe, Remy, and Lilli's last show. Talk to ya later!
-Brian

^^^^^ THIS. IS. (MOST DEFINITELY) NOT. OKAY.
(Your thoughts?)

Tony's Re-Cap

* Best Performance By a Leading Actress in a Musical: Patti LuPone is an absolute GODDESS. Truly-- her "Everything's Coming Up Roses" blew. My. Freakin'. Mind. Congrats Patti! You more than deserve it after 28 years!!

* Best Musical: In the Heights. How is it that I knew 10 minutes into the awards ceremony? XD I dunno', it looks... remotely okay. Though, I can't really judge until I take the gall to actually see/at least LISTEN to it. However, I plan to do so A.S.A.P!

* WHOOPI GOLDBERG IS THE NEW MELCHIOR. UNF, YESSS. XD

* Passing Strange: Hmm. Though I've heard several good things... it just... DIDN'T appeal to me. I'm sure it's at least one thousand times better than it was this evening, but... I don't really know what to say. *shrugs* Xanadu, FTW! Lol.

* Sunday in the Park With George: Literally, it took my breath away. I'm so bummed it didn't win for Best Revival of a Musical (South Pacific), the effects were truly amazing, not to mention their lead vocalists!!

* Best Choreography: WTF Cry Baby, why did you NOT win?!! Tapping - with license plates? A. Mazing. Plus, James Snyder is just about the most amazing/adorable thing EVER, so...

* Daniel Radcliffe: OMG, that boy... just... hmm.

* Kristin Chenoweth is the sweetest, most genuine thing in the whole wide world and just about made me wanna' pee my pants!! XP

* Mark Rylance (I am - OFFICIALLY - in love with this man), in his acceptance speech upon winning actor-play for the comedy Boeing-Boeing:
"When you're in town wearing some kind of uniform, it's helpful — policeman, priest. ... When you join a revolution, wear an armband and carry a homemade flag tied to a broom handle, or a placard bearing an incendiary slogan. At the very least, you should wear a suit and carry a briefcase and a cell phone, or a team jacket, baseball cap and a cell phone. If you're in the woods — some place far from any human habitation — it is a good idea to wear orange and carry a gun, or depending on the season, a fishing pole or a camera with a big lens otherwise ... it might appear that you don't know what you're doing, that you're just wandering the Earth with no particular reason for being here and no particular place to go. Thanks very much."
What else is there to say?! After 62 years, I'll tell ya': The Tony's never fails to deliver. And whut, whut for Duncan Shiek presenting the award for best Best Score! That-- and The 39 Steps looks incredibly hysterical. XP

SA Audition Update: I'm a woobie, and have decided to take a chance at auditioning this year. For the sheer experience, for the beauty of the show, whether I'm merely a swing or NOT-- thank you all for your kind convincing! And wish me a hell of a lotta' luck.

HAPPY TONY NIGHT!! (/FATHER'S DAY!)

My God... can you believe it's been an entire YEAR since Spring Awakening last swept the Tony's - not to mention their leaving with 8 of the most prestigious of the awards, including Best Musical 2007?!! UNF. And now, what with their conveniently hidden, "under wraps" event to ensue tonight-- truly, I am utterly and 100% entirely STOKED. :] However, I am sad to report that, of all the shows nominated this evening, many of them are ones I haven't even dared to see. But does it matter, nor do I CARE?

Psh. Hells. No. XP

OFF TOPIC-- SA Auditions: Just last week, my good friend Amanda told me of an SA open call to take place in Los Angeles around September (?) of this year. (Her words exactly: "Don't ask me how I know that...!") Now, although technically you only have to be around the ages of 15-21/older to audition - which I HAD planned to do, once my braces were finally removed - well... after searching the forums of The Guilty Ones, I learned that, LEGALLY (due to possible charges of child pornography and such), you have to be 17 in order to understudy and/or play Wendla. Which is, in fact-

A bummer. An absolute (pardon my Swahili) FUCKING bummer.

... I figure it isn't worth it to audition and land the show, yet not be able to play the role I desire. [Your thoughts? I mean... should I try for the fun of it? Then again-- I'd hate to obtain a role and proceed to turn them down... UGH] (Really-- desire) Either that, or have my contract expire before I were to finally come of age. And so, sadly... I am unsure as to whether or NOT I'll be auditioning this year. Advice needed. But, hey!! If (and I stress if) I don't, I figure it'll give me the chance to improve TEN FOLD, take even more lessons, land several more leads (if lucky). And, as soon as I hit 17-- hit the deck. XD SA: Prepare yourselves!

PS-- "The Spring Standards": REALLY, Old Springs Pike? REALLY?!! Ah, well... a toast to your new "image". May it, uh-- bring you the best!

PPS: Johnny Gallagher Jr. - I just finished watching the Spring Awakening and Degrassi Live Verbal Mashup, and I find myself more in love with you with each passing moment... that is all.
It's a new journal layout, that's what it is. I'm also very pleased to report to have found several new, KILLER Spring Awakening icons. However-- unfortunately, I do not know ALL of who created them If you have personally or know the creators themselves, please let me know so I can give them the proper credits!!!! Thanks.

(A review of our performance at last night's Senior graduation soon to come! [Can you believe that, as of only last night, I am now - officially - a sophmore?! I'll tell ya' one thing: I sure can't!] But for now? I'm-a headin' on down to the Crab Shack for my step-brother's own eighth grade graduation dinner. Whut, whut.
Dingle-Dongle, Dingle-Dongle, Someone's Calling You, Gule!!

1. The Cappies Student Critics of Orange County, CA Fifth Annual Awards Banquet: (Please pardon my French in advance) Thaaaaaaaat's fucking right, ladies and germs. Last night was the O.C.'s very own mini-Tony's!!!!! *insert uproarious applause here* The night was truly magnificent, taking place in that of Anaheim's glorious Grove Theatre. Those of us within The Sisters Rosensweig (which only included of me, Joey (Gorgeous), Kelli (Pfeni), Olivia (Sara), and Robbie (Tom)) were even brought to perform in front of - mind you - HUNDREDS of people, as we were nominated for Best Play! However, we didn't win... On the Twentieth Century (Best Musical, Best Song, Best Leading Actor/Actress/Comedian) didn't either!! In fact, out of all five nominations for both productions, we only managed to walk away with 2 awards. Best Leading Actress in a Play/in a Musical, both to Olivia Hernandez herself.

Whut, whut for Fullerton Union and their amazazing female roles of AWESOME...!! Lol. But, really-- it was a night to remember! Commendees even received recognition! And, apparently, we performed really, really, really, really well. Mrs. Klein couldn't stop herself from raving about us to my fifth period!! *blushes*

2. Saw Kung Fu Panda on Saturday, alongside my aunt, mom, her boyfriend, my lil' bro, and four year-old cousin. And you know what? I. LOVED. It.

3. Finished my Romeo and Juliet scrapbook on Saturday night-- I'm pleased to report it came out rather nicely! IN ADDITION: Dance Final was none but this morning. My group? Kicked ass-- although, we had some slight troubles with costuming. Still, we were fabulous nonetheless! (Or at least I'D like to think) However, I'm not looking forward to viewing the footage.

4. Seussical rehearsal earlier tonight. Blocked/learned "Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!" and, while us Bird Girls were separate from all other cast members, we held hands and "bonded". Lol, really, it was quite loverly! And added yet another reason to my list of why I love theater.

5. All last/the beginning of this week, I've taken to styling my hair as Wendla. And you know WHAT? I kinda' love it. XD (Also got 2 new shirts: a white lace, pink floral blouse and a gray Alice in Wonderland tee-shirt. Hoo-rah!)

6. All in all? My life's pretty good right now. Excluding the fact that finals are soon approaching (both Wednesday and Thursday) and today was but our last day with the seniors... *sobs* But other than that-- I'm happy as a panda can be.

There's a Reason Why I Love Theater:

Because, if you miss the chance to perform at you utmost best during an audition and/or your full potential is yet to be seen - saaaaaaay... within MTOC's Seussical, for example - you almost always, ALWAYS manage to find a second chance. And, whence you nail your pre-lim, obtain a call back, and survive numerous cuts before making to down to that of the last five girls, do you know what's soon to follow?

YOU GET CAST IN THE ROLE OF "BIRD GIRL".

That's right. I, Angela Griswold, have officially been cast (as of Sunday) as Bird Girl #1. My summer? Now 100% booked in it's entirety.

Boo-freakin'-yah. XD

Fullerton Union High School Spring Concert - Earth Songs: Again-- I truly apologize for my horrid, horrid rant the other day [however, my medal MORE than just made up for it]; I was just bearing some difficult pains with not having received my solo. (I believe it might have been due to the fact that I had used "Green Finch..." for both my Spring audition and my choir final, so--) ... Although, with that being said, some... "Soch-ites", if I may, proved their most true colors when performing their solos both at rehearsal and this following evening. Yeah.

You can imagine I was preeeeeeeetty bitter.

Nevertheless, I am choosing NOT to focus on it!! I'm, truly, going to learn from said disappointment... however, I AM planning my audition outline for the following year! *insert confetti here*

GENERAL OVERVIEW: Both good and bad songs. Amazing "Music When Soft Voices Die" - as performed by we Women's Chorus graduates. Vocal Ensemble + "Bohemian Rhapsody" = LOL. Senior solos (during that of "One Day More") brought about a mad outbreak of depression. I. Was. Bawling. Most Magical Moment: When my newest spark, Taylor, both sat next to and spoke to me, following up to blocked my path backstage and then proceeding to playfully hug me round the waist. And said I was pretty. And that it was outrageous I hadn't received a solo/made it into Vocal Ensemble. *shudders* Most Proud Of: Kayleigh, Laura, and Alyssa. You lovelies, you! Best Quotes Of The Night:

MICHEAL - Senior: (hugging me within his arms as I cried) Ya' know, I expect to see you in EVERY production the next 3 years--
ME: I won't let you down...!!!
MICHEAL: Good, because if not, I'm gonna' have to come down here with this exact same flower (indicating his senior rose within it's pointed vase) and vase and just start JABBIN' SOME PEOPLE! Like-- (demonstrating) UNF!!

***

ALYSSA: (approaching me and Taylor) And then there was Alyssa.
TAYLOR: Alyssa is everywhere.ALYSSA: I am everywhere and nowhere.
ME: ... That was very creepy, Alyssa. I'm gonna' be scared to fall asleep tonight!

***

KAYLEIGH - Solo: "A Quiet Night at Home": (indicating her dark eye makeup) THIS is why I'm having a quiet night at home!!!!!!!

Rofl. I. Love choir kids. XP

PS: Went to D*sneyland with Shayla and Amanda yesterday, in which to help them with their dance video project. Full review [VERY] soon to come, including yet another past-due of D.C. and Jesschior!-- AS WELL AS OTHER RECENT DEETS!!!

I Have This Way of Turning Smiles into Frowns

**I apologize GREATLY in advance for the following vent, for auditions have yet to prove themselves a friend to me recently.

I didn't get my solo for Spring Concert. All of my friends (whom did try out, of course) received their's...

All - except for ME.

... I truly thought I had deserved it. And I'm tired of those who don't accepting them...! Though, perhaps I just wasn't right for this production; true-- I'm utterly glad for all of my buds whom are getting the chance to perform for the first/second time, considering that I had had my own piece during our Winter Concert. It's just--... UGH.

It's still disappointing. Especially when those around you don't care to acknowledge - wrapped up madly within their own contentment - the concept of tears pouring down your face [And yet I KNOW they'd feel the same]. (Yes, I cried. I felt the right to be a bit upset) Indeed, this shall be yet another humbling experience for me and I expect to learn a great deal from said experience; honestly... I don't mean to bitch and moan! I never meant to snap... It merely puts oneself into a dreadful, BEATING sort of mind-set, and-- It just, for lack of a better word, SUCKS. Majorly.

... But you know what? Our Cappies Acomendee/Nominee Ceremony took place this evening (just 2 weeks before the official gala). And you know WHAT?!

I GOT A MEDAL.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, ya'll. XD
